Not until their third and fourth recordings were released on Frontline Records in 1986 and 1987 did this passionate punk band, who unabashedly wore their faith on their sleeveless biceps, win the undying affection of a whole generation of young Christian rockers who yearned for role models like band leader Mike Stand to whet their appetite for a holy boldness to reach out to their lost peers that was both radical and fresh for those times. Terry Taylor produced them both, and the band moved bit by bit away from Ramones-influenced punk rawk toward a sound blending The Clash with Bruce Springsteen-inspired working man's rock. But rather than advocating class struggle or political activism, they conveyed their message of hope through anthems like 'Life Begins At the Cross.' In 1998 KMG Records released a '2-for-1' re-issue of all the songs from these timeless classics on a single disc. Rad Rockers went to considerable trouble and expense early in 2005 to buy all the remaining copies before it went out of print. Songs include: 'You Are Loved,' 'G. L. M.
