Along with Barren Cross, Stryper, and Rez Band, the Seattle-based Bloodgood (formed in 1985) pioneered heavenly metal. A typical 80s hair band in many respects, they dressed in spandex, churned out music familiar to fans of Twisted Sister, Ratt, and Quiet Riot, but employed more theatrics in their performances as did Alice Cooper. Bloodgood's final studio album was largely ignored, because grunge was becoming the next big thing. What a shame. This was their most mature work, moving away from speed metal toward modern hard rock and memorable power ballads like 'Say Goodbye,' 'Help Me,' and 'I Want To Live In Your Heart,' employing the now-familiar theme of spiritual warefare, made more compelling by comparisons the the Gulf War dominating world news at the time. Originally released on Broken Records in 1991, it was re-issued in 2006 on a Brazilian label. These are not original issue copies. Other songs include: 'S.O.S.,' 'All Stand Together,' 'Escape From the Fire,' 'Out Of Love,' 'Kingdom Come,' 'Fear No Evil,' 'Rounded Are the Rocks,' 'Lies In the Dark' and 'Streetlight Dancer.' 12 songs TT: 49:59 Going, going, almost gone.
