Description
Standing for Argyle Park Two, consider them the second incarnation of the seminal Christian industrial band Argyle Park. 'Level,' i.e. Dan Levler, replaced Klay Scott (aka Scott Albert of Circle Of Dust, Brainchild and Celldwellerfame), known for the indie industrial release Level-Devil's Advocate released on Flaming Fish Records. Although the basic core is industrial rock, heavy doses of techno music and thrash metal are stirred into the mix, along with surprising moments of tribal chants and meditative acoustic guitars. Guest vocals include Joel Bell of Ghoti Hook, Daren Diolosa of Klank and Circle Of Dust, Mark Salomon of Native Son, Stavesacre and The Crucified, and Klay Scott who also produced two tracks that he also co-wrote. The bitterness of the lyrics is directed against social injustices and worldly evils more than perceived injuries done to band members by those they formerly trusted, as was the case on the Argyle Park-Misguided album. This one's not for those susceptible to paranoia, and seems to assuage the pain of those who perceive themselves as disenfranchised from the evangelical fold because of their refusal to compromise or conform to cultural 'dos' and 'don'ts.' Songs include 'The End,' 'Heroin Hate,' 'My Sympathies,' 'A Thousand Terrible Things,' 'Silhouette Of Rage,' 'A New Wound,' 'The Red Shirt Conspiracy,' 'The Pact,' 'Resurrection Of the Ravens,' 'Goodbye,' 'The Only Man I Know' and 'Cold Breath Of Sorrow.' 12 songs TT: 50:32 8-page insert
