This band wears its Christian roots on its shoulders without embarrassment. The Running EP, which originally came out before Failure On, shows flashes of the atmospheric melodic hardcore they would later adapt for that album but, its core sound, reminds me of Thursday's Full Collapse. The album has a desperation about it. The song 'Kiss it Good Bye' was a crowd favorite, and combined the band's expert grasp of melody with that a sense of urgency. The Running is a great title for this album because it gives off the impression that you're headed somewhere fast... whether it be running away from your fears or running into the arms of God. Without any doubt, Beloved would prefer the former. This one's for fans of Thursday, Dead Poetic, and Underoath. It was released on SolidState February, 2004. Songs include: 'Kiss It Goodbye,' 'The Blue Period,' 'Going Through the Motions,' 'Before There Was You, There Was Everything,' 'The Aftermath,' 'Into Your Arms,' and 'Beloved.' 7 songs 4-page insert w/lyrics
