Alteration is the title of a progressive experimental metal project going under the band name Altera Enigma, consisting of Jason De Ron (ex-Paramaecium, Soundscape), Jefray Arwadi (Kekal, ex-Armageddon Holocaust, Area 58), and Kenny Cheong. This is emotive, fusion-influenced progressive metal. Heavy and emotionally charged metal is blended with the complexity of progressive rock and fusion to create a style and sound unique to the band. It exhibits a technical genius and explosive emotion that make it the best and most original metal released in years. The tracks range from the epic, heavy progressive metal of 'Enigmatic Alteration' to the moody, memorable, and darkly melodic 'Pasivitas Sudut Pandang.' Songs like 'Relating the Transformation' and 'Through the Glass, Darkly' showcase their roots in heavy metal, while 'Fading' is a flowing, soulful instrumental full of conviction and emotion. It was released on Soundmass in Australia February, 2006. Songs include: 'Enigmatic Alteration,' 'The Infinite Horizon,' 'Posivitas Sudut Pandang,' 'Fading,' 'NGC 3370,' 'Skyward (Outer Atmosphere),' 'Relating the Transformation,' 'Unlimited Reality,' and 'Through Glass Darkly.' 9 songs TT: 52:46 4-page insert Going, going, almost gone.
